Prerequisites:

  • Valid inscription to second year to start the course.
  • Presentation of a seminar and 80% presence at other seminar presentations.

Content (Syllabus outline):
Student under guidance of his/her supervisor performs one or more analyses (depends on the level) for a customer. He/she is present at all phases of the research, and learns the role of a statistician in a research team. In analysis the student will use methods learned in other courses, or, eventually, some other methods necessary to accomplish the task. Student helps the customer to prepare a report and also prepares a report about his/her work for the supervisor.
Objectives and competences:
Student obtains practical experience with statistical consulting and analysis, where special emphasis is given to methods of the chosen module. Student solves real problems in designing research, collecting and describing data, analysis, interpretation of results and learns communicating with the customer. 

Intended learning outcomes:
Student performs real data analysis, where he/she needs to combine knowledge acquired at other courses, or possibly learns new methods.
