Program implementation

The Master's Programme of Applied Statistics is an on-campus program. The courses are held in Slovene language. On demand, there might be extra arrangements for specific courses for Erasmus students.

Days for prospective students

All of you interested in studying Applied Statistics are invited any of the following days for prospective students:
 

  • Faculty of Electrical Engineering: Wednesday, 18. 5. 2016 -12: 30 - 15:00 in the lobby, at 14:30 in the Multimedia Hall, Tržaška cesta 25, Ljubljana
  • Faculty of Social Sciences on Wednesday, 18. 5. 2016 at 16:00 (all programmes together, later separately for each programme), Kardeljeva ploščad 5, Ljubljana
  • Biotechnical Faculty: Wednesday, 1. 6. 2016 at 14:00, Department of Agronomy, A5, Jamnikarjeva 101, Ljubljana
  • Faculty of Mathematics and Physics:

Applied statistics 2022 conference (Ljubljana, 19-21 September, 2022)

After two years of pandemic, we are happy to announce that the
 

18th Applied Statistics 2022 International Conference will be held September 19‒21, 2022 at the University of Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The 18th Applied Statistics 2022 conference is organized by the Statistical Society of Slovenia in cooperation with the University of Ljubljana (Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Medicine). The conference will be held in-person, hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The conference program includes plenary sessions, invited sessions, parallel contributed sessions, and a workshop. The invited speakers are:
 
1. Peter Filzmoser (Vienna University of Technology, Austria): Robust linear and logistic regression for high-dimensional compositional data
2. Matthias Schmid (University of Bonn, Germany): Competing risks methods for discrete time-to-event data
3. Donald B. Rubin (Tsingua University, China; Temple University, USA; Harvard University, USA): Applications of multiple imputation, from calibrating changing occupation/industry coding systems in the US Census, to evaluating the impact of nonresponse in the Slovenian Plebiscite, to understanding placebo effects in pharmaceutical experiments
 
The workshop "Generalized blockmodeling in R using blockmodeling package" will be given by Aleš Žiberna and Marjan Cugmas (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia).

Statistical Conference Applied Statistics 2021 (on-line)

The conference is organized by the Statistical Society of Slovenia and ill be held this year from 20 to 22 September 2021. Students of Applied Statistics Programme are very welcome! Conference fees are not required, but the registration is compulsory.

News about foreign students enrolment to the programme

Master´s Programme in Applied Statistics will be held as a full-time study from the study year 2019/2020 on. Due to reorganization of the study, there will be (exceptionally) no possibility for foreign students to enroll to the program of Applied statistics in the study year 2019/2020.
